thrifty thursday!

and here we go a
post on what i have been wearing
at least one item in each photo has been thrifted
from either a consignment store or second hand stores. :)


so this is something i tried
this week with a new program
for my photos.

not sure what i think?
it is kind of fun to try
something new i guess.
what do you use to post
pictures and store pictures?

my friend and i have both
had google and picasa
tell us we are out of storage space
so i have been playing around with other
options. any suggestions?

it has been awhile

since i posted a

thrifty thursday post.

here are my latest finds;

the booties from a consignment store

and sweater from goodwill. :)

these (nine west) black booties

 yeah, the camera phone

didn't do a great job!

anyway these black booties are awesome!

i mean they are 

nine west and leather!

i have a pair of suede grey ones from target

and really wanted a pair of black...

these were 8.99

i had credit at this consignment store-

so i paid nothing!

cannot beat that in my book!

this (gap) grey and black paisley cardigan

from goodwill for 4.99

gotta love my cardis! :)

thrifty thursday

another thrifty thursday

is here; 

i wore this on a coffee & bookstore date

with my hubbie-

i walked in the restroom and thought

ooh, i should take a picture of my 

'thrifted outfit'!

i bought the sweater at 

the thrift store.

they had a

50% off sale on

MLK day!

i am in love with the color

of the sweater

it is almost a caramel color

and in fact i went back to the thrift store

 and found

a 'sweater-jacket' with big buttons

a few days afterwards in 

the SAME color and bought it

because i so love the color...

navy, grey, brown & black 

i plan to pair all of these colors

 with my

new caramel items! :)

boots-sears, sweater-thrifted for $3.00

scarf-nordstrom, striped t-shirt-kohls

belt-is borrowed from a pair of dress pants,

skinnies-jcpenneys

i also wore this same sweater over an ivory colored dress

black tights and my chestnut colored boots

on sunday for church-

i had seen an outfit similar

 on pinterest

and thought,

hey, i could rock that!

my thrifty finds for this thursday~

i have not been to the
thrift store for a while
and had the chance just
the other day as my hubs
and i went to town to pick
out light fixtures and tile
for our new kitchen renovation :)

so my finds for this week
are two amazing slouchy hats
and a striped cardigan

we live in the pacific northwest
and supposedly snow is in the
forecast for next week and well...
i personally can never
have too many slouchy hats,
boots or cardigans!

so i was a happy camper
when i ran across these
little finds!

the red hat has a sweet little crochet button on the side :)

i have been documenting
and documenting as our
kitchen gets remodeled
and i continue to live smack
dab in absolute chaos!

all the food from our cupboards
sit on our dining table
our pots in the spare room
and all the rest of items from
every drawer and nook and cranny
sits somewhere on the front room floor
yes, i did say chaos! ;)

i am getting so excited
to see the final reveal
it will be a while before
this happens but, when
it does happy dancing
will be happening! :)

and then of course prepare
yourselves my pretties for
some before and after posts! LOL

thrifty thursday

another installment of thrifty thursday

only this one is a

holiday edition! LOL

candle light communion service

top, skirt and oxfords are thrifted

along with the amazing wool coat with a faux fur collar

 i found at a consignment shop.

vintage blouse was gift from a friend

and skirt and oxfords were thrifted.

this was what i wore christmas morning:)

sweater, tights (fleece lined) &  jumper are thrifted

boots from 6pm

and what have you thrifted lately?

something fun?

the black jumper i thrifted 

will be a new staple for me!

i had a black jumper before,

 it was my 'go to' outfit 

and

i am letting my daughter take it with her 

when she 

leaves tomorrow for three months!!

she will be teaching in a classroom 

and this jumper will be easy 

to change/mix and match!

 i couldn't have been more excited 

 to find this replacement jumper! :)

tonight all the kids/grandsons will be here for

an impromptu pizza dinner...

you see

we leave at noon tomorrow to take my

'baby' daughter to portland, oregon 

to live for the next three months

as she does her first round of interning in a classroom!!

good byes are always awful

even if it is only three months.

it has ben a busy day today
i have been babysitting
and no time to sit and blog...

plus, yes...plus
i had an early christmas present
from the hubbie delivered today!
a new oven, microwave and dishwasher!!!
they arrived today-
i had to clean our cupboards
we had to cut some of them
to make things fit...

and get it ready for
all the new stuff!

now if you know anything
about our house,
i live in a ninety year old farm house
the appliances are all
around 20 years old
so this is pretty exciting stuff! :)

so all in all
there was not a minute to sit and
write a blog post until now,
better late than never?
it is still thursday here on the
pacific coast!

and my new thrifted boots again! :)

i LOVE that i can mix a thrifted cardigan and a scarf from paris! :)

this whole outfit was thrifted and i adore it!

(although the dress was a bit shorter than i usually wear) ;)

3. i am thankful for a warm & cozy home

i want to thank all
of my friends for

i so appreciate them

today, on this thursday
i am posting some outfits
for what i am calling a thrifty thursday...

my outfits will be what i have worn
over the past week-
at least one or more of the items
will be thrifted! ;) hehe

the military coat was one of those goodwill finds

that i almost screamed when i saw it...hurried and put it

in my cart and kept an eye on it at all times so no one would 'steal' it...hehe

i love this coat! 

this coat is originally from american eagle-

i gifted one of my thrifted pairs of boots

(over the last month i have found THREE pair)

to my daughter because, 

the sweet mustard heels (i blogged about them here) didn't fit her and

i wound up keeping them! hehe

since i wore them on sunday! ;)

last but not least is a close up of my 

new glasses!

i adore them. 

dark purple and a bit larger than my other ones...

and i bought them online so they were a LOT cheaper than my other pair...

gotta love that! :)
