So many of my family members and friends have served.
My dad and Uncles all served.
My dad served in the Korean War.
He met my momma while on leave.
What a beautiful love story that was/is.
Most vets do not talk about the time they served-
it always amazes me.
I cannot imagine what some of them went through
and yet, when they came home they were silent.
Some suffered from what we now know as PTSD.
they suffered in silence
and my heart hurts for them.
Today, I remember and thank each and every Veteran.
I hope and pray you know that our country is thankful
even if sometimes they ‘forget’ your amazing sacrifices
