she spreads her wings
and in doing so;
she flies

with hopes & dreams

to fulfill

i wish her happiness & 

joy

as she soars

far away 

remembering

that the mother bird

nourishes and teaches her baby birds 

and then she

must let them go,

watching them as they
fly away

when their wings are strong enough;

they leave the nest 

they fly
they soar

my sweet baby birds

i love you enough

to let you go 

may you happily

soar

may you remember
how much you are loved and
that the nest is
always here.

engagement party

we threw a small

engagement party 

on saturday night

for our youngest daughter

and her fiance'

a small intimate gathering

great food

lots of laughter

and love

towards the end

of the evening

we walked out to 

our fire pit

built a bon fire

and toasted

to the couple

may they always 

be blessed with love

and happiness.

just. lovely.

i am spending time
with my baby girl.

she recently graduated
from college along with
getting newly engaged.

her and her finace' have
decided to pack up
and go on an adventure.
no jobs yet.
just the two of them
flying by the seat of
their pants.

adventure time!

i am doing fine with
this news. :)

the plan is to head to
california!

no date is set
for the wedding;
they want to wait
for the rest of the
family
to get home from
austria! :)

so i will spend time
throwing engagement
parties.
savoring as
much time with her
right now as i can.
