yesterday we hiked
with our oldest daughter
and her son ( our two year old grandson)
we hiked table mountain
which is a flat topped rock like mountain
up by mt. baker;
it was a twisting and turning kind
of drive to get up there from our farm...
it took us about an hour or so to get there.
when we left home it was
overcast and almost a bit rainy
and when we broke through and
got up high enough,
the sun was out and it was
just amazing!
i kept thinking of the chris tomlin song
indescribable:
From the highest of heights to the depths of the sea
Creation's revealing Your majesty
From the colors of fall to the fragrance of spring
Every creature unique in the song that it sings
All exclaiming
Indescribable, uncontainable,
You placed the stars in the sky and You know them by name.
You are amazing God
All powerful, untameable,
Awestruck we fall to our knees as we humbly proclaim
You are amazing God
sharing a lot of the
amazing photos
i took yesterday-
this is table mountain
mt. shuksan
our little grandson loved the
patches of snow
my husband and i
at the top of table mountain
with mt. shuksan in the background.
my hubbie aka gramps
with our grandson
there i am
stopping to enjoy the beauty!
hubbie with our daughter and grandson
with the tip of table mountain behind them.
today as i sit
and reflect
i am thankful.
just so thankful for it ALL.
and you?
i hope you too
have joy today!
will you share with me
what are you thankful for?

beautiful pictures. what a blessing to be able to drive just a little ways and be surrounded by such amazing sights! The song fits perfectly. maybe some day the 4 of us should go hiking together! :)
This post lifts my spirit and I'm blessed to read your words. Sometimes when it's hard to find your own joy hearing of someone elses joy can light the way. . .BTW, my son and DIL moved to Ellensburg, WA a few weeks ago. Are you anywhere near Ellensburg?
Gorgeous hike! Thanks for sharing it with all of us!
