loving life

the letter l

i grab my journal,
pen in hand-
turn to a crisp,
fresh, white page.
i write with only one purpose,
to get some ideas down
on that blank page.

i write one and two word prompts,
for the alphabet.

the letter l;
what words come?
life. love. laughter.

it seems a natural thing
jotting down in the journal,
that life is good!

because it is.
even though
sometimes i may
lose focus
and forget about
or take for granted
how sweet life is-
or how much i
have to be thankful for.

i want to treasure each and
every day.
to laugh often. to love much.
and never for one single minute
forget how sweet life really is.
