d=daffodils

we drove down a
dirt driveway
behind some houses
into a field

walked on uneven
ground
littered with clumps
of brown grass
until we found
what we had
been looking for

there they were
growing in
random spots
and then we climbed
over a barbed wire fence
into a field of yellow.

here they are in my kitchen window
looking all sunny and happy!
i want to say thank you to everyone
 for your concern
about
my husband;
he had an AWESOME checkup!

take that cancer!
we kicked your behind once again!
:)

"And all at once I saw a host. A host of golden daffodils". Great photos, and they are such happy, sunny looking flowers, aren't they. Happy Dance about your husband's results. It must be SUCH a relief for you both. Hugs.,

WOW!!! wonderful that you kicked that butt of cancer; take that!!!!

Now about those daffodils...how lovely they are. I enjoy the flower myself but they just don't last long enough for me. I wish they'd bloom continuously! I also like the pink ones :)

What a beautiful, beautiful blog you have here. So bright and cheery and lovely, everything about it! Consider yourself followed!
And YAY for kicking cancer's butt.
Did you know in Canada that the daffodil is the official flower of the Canadian Cancer Society? Every spring they sell daffodils to raise money and I always buy some.

Wonderful 'D' post. Daffodils are being sold, this month, here to raise money, to find a cure, for cancer.(the ulgy word)
We have had it in our family too. This will be year 5 free, (when I get past this next mammogram) for us.
God bless you both. Thanks for sharing.

First off good news about the check up - yay.

Second I just love the line

littered with clumps

in your poem - just so evocative and perfect line break.

Enjoy the rest of the challenge and take care

Yea I just did daffodils on my blog also they are so cheery, I am so happy for your husbands positively great check up...My sister-in-law just started a new med for lung cancer she is just 41 and it isn't working to well for her, cancer takes so much from families when it silently attacks so when we can get a victory we need to embrace it openly with all.... thank you for doing this.
