oh hello, it's saturday!

unbelievable that it is
saturday again...
this is when i know
i am getting old-
the days, weeks months & now years
seem to never slow down
like some tornado or whirlwind
that i somehow got
caught up in

with the daily comings and goings
sometimes i don't realize
a week has flown by,
crazy how that happens

so it is another saturday
it isn't raining (yet)
and so i promised
the 'boy' that
we would go to the park...
 my first born daughter
heard that i might be going
she said, call me up and maybe
the baby (my other grandson)
and i will meet you and we can go for a
walk too!

so this glorious day
filled with promise
smiles & fun
stretches
so
wonderfully before me

blessed, yes...i am
thankful, yes...i am

i decided early this morning
that if a trip to the park
in our washington (fickle) weather
was on the agenda
that meant;
scarves, hats, gloves, and yes a coat...
yeah, like i said...it is washington!!!! ;)
even though  mr. sun is showing
his warm and lovely face today...

 here is what today looks like;
and just in case you are
keeping track of my challenge
i have tomorrow and the monday and
i am done...
can we say a shopping day
is in store???? :)

converse in case we walk around the trail at the park-

the gold scarf is soft cashmere like material that i adore
purple cardi and white t-shirt
jeans (not shown)
everything but the hat has been worn at least once
 during this challenge. :)

one of my all time favorite thrift finds is this sweet hat with the flowers on it...LOVE!

today
is
a
lovely
day-
may
you
find
happiness
in
even
the
smallest
thing-

may
you
have
a
fabulous
blessed
day!

peace-
melody

Oh, how cute!

We're still in our coats, too. :)

It's windy and rainy in Ohio today. Brrr.

You look adorable in all of your fun clothing finds!

It is like a Fall day here in St. Louis. Windy, drizzling off and on, and Mr. Sin doing more hiding than showing. You also be blessed this weekend.

Hope you enjoy the park.

I'm on the other side of the mountains for a track meet today and the sun is SHINING brightly ... with clear blue skies. Yippee! Looking forward to an afternoon sitting in the sun. (It's not all that warm, but at least the sun is shining.)

I adore your hat, too!!! You certainly don't "look" like a Granny. I'm thinking I'm basing that on the fact that I think I do!!! ;-) HOPE you've had a great day with your boys and your Sunday is blessed!

So true about time going faster the older you get. And I'm kind of familiar with that Washington weather. We used to live in Victoria, BC. I never could get warm enough! :)

What an adorable hat! Hope you had a fabulous day...it sounds like you did :)

Thoughts for the day said...

Your weather is alot like ours in Oregon, rain and clouds and cold and damp... I have a green house still in the box. No sun equals no flowers. hope your day was a nice one with the little ones.
