right now
in this moment
i am knee deep in
wedding planning.
our youngest daughter
moved to california
and wants the wedding there
at the church she met
her future husband.
this all sounds wonderful
until we take into the equation
how far away i live
and how we plan to get to california
and all the travel plans thrown in with the
wedding plans.
what's a mother of the bride to do?
take each day
one at a time.
one at a time.
just breathe.
In nothing be anxious; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
Philippians 4:6
i cannot
and will not let
the planning & the financial worry
take away the joy.
her joy
or our joy.
the daughter that is going to be married
is our third and last daughter.
our baby girl.
i want only happiness
always for her.
so i will
smile.
take each day as it comes
and
just breathe.

that's the best course of action. am taking it myself with the unknowns ahead of us in the anticipation of our first grandchild. so many unknowns...but will not let it rob me of one molecule of joy. and congratulations!!!
Been.There.Done.That.
Four of our kids got married in 14 months . . . and 3 of the weddings were out-of-town . . . with 2 of the weddings out-of-state.
It's challenging, but I know you can do it. :)
Thinking of you and praying for you!
Laurel :)
just breathe... like Dora. ;) love you melodymae... and best of luck on the marathon!! whooo hoooo!!
You are so right, in putting those things to the back of your mind, and to really concentrate on the joy of this occasion, both for you and your daughter. Weddings are such an exciting time. Everyone is so happy. I am sure that you will be able to surmount any problems. You see, I have every confidence in you, and your Shineyness!!!
Prayers and best wishes to you and your daughter! I'm sure everything will work out and it will be a lovely wedding! :)
How hard that is!!! But probably the best thing ever to just breathe! You CAN do this!! God knows! Just cling to him and breathe :) Prayers for you! Also- I wonder if it would be possible to delegate any tasks to people in the church there? Just a thought. They'd probably be more than understanding with you up here! I know some things can't be delegated but maybe some can?
