seeing beauty

there it was;
this little tree.

standing all alone
rustling in the wind-
the branches
looked like red sticks,
the leaves orange and yellow.
behind the little tree
stood an old office building.

to the people
who work in this office
and walk by that tree
they most likely
are too busy to see the
simple beauty.
photo taken with my phone
using the pixlr-o-matic app.

my daughter saw my photo-
i had posted it
on instagram.
she added
this text:

the earth is full
of Your lovingkindness,
O Lord.

oh yes,
the earth is full of
full of wonder-

we just need to be
willing to look.
to take the time out of
our lives...
to look through that window.
to see the small tree
against an aging building.

to see the beauty that
is in every single day.

join me
will you?
in taking the time
to simply
see something

Hi Melody-Mae - lovely post and you are quite right - we should all take the time to look for the beauty in our every day lives. Cute little tree! Hope you are doing well, and I wish you a very happy and blessed Thanksgiving.

I like this. Today I took my granddaughter to the park and took pics of the trees there and also the roses in bloom in my back yard. Such a lovely day. The most beautiful things I saw were the faces of our grand kids.

good reminder to take the time to look for beauty; God's creation and majesty is all around us; we just need to look for it indeed
