went over to my eldest daughter and
younger grandson's house...
a play date for the two cousins
much fun was had;
there was wading pools to
splash in.
bicycles to ride.
playhouses to play in.
plants to water.
and last but, not least
mules & horses to feed.
as my daughter was watering
her hanging baskets she said,
"mom you have to see this."
inside one of her baskets was
a perfectly formed nest and inside
that nest were four little eggs...
then she said, "come here i want
to show you & jackson another nest"
over in one of her shrubs...
a nice little nest
how sweet are these
little perfect nests?
the boys fed her mule and horses
carrots and just had a great time
playing together-
i looked ahead of me;
in the distance all snow covered
and gorgeous was mt. baker
oh yes, life is sweet
days like these remind me
just how lovely and beautiful
life is-
simple things in life
are wonderful and life is good.
we only need to take the time to
see beautiful...
because yes, it is there
for us all!

Your blog made me smile today :) I love the way you are very positive...And those birds nests are very cute! Thankyou for sharing :)
Hi Melody-mae! You are so right, there is so much beauty all around us, if only we would just stop and look. What is it they say - "stop to smell the roses?" That is certainly what I do, especially now that I am recuperating. You will know more than most that when you have been ill, you certainly do look at life in a different way. Me? I'm just grateful to be here to see the beauty of all His creation!
I'm trying my best to see the beauty in a sweltering day like today- I told myself that I just had to start embracing every day regardless of circumstances or weather or mood or whatever. I think I'm learning some of this from reading your blog!
