thankful thursday?!

oh, yes indeed it is a
thankful thursday!

yesterday i had one of the
little grandsons here
while his parents worked...
we were outside enjoying
the sunshine when my other
daughter called me and asked
if i wanted to join her and her son
at the park?!

yes! we did!

so we loaded up and drove
the long fifteen minutes
so the two little cousins could
play in the park/sunshine...

i had so much fun watching
those two boys running and playing...

how could i not be thankful?!

they just make me smile.
my heart truly overflows
when i look at those sweet
little faces and it makes
me so thankful for my life
and all my blessings.

now, i am not saying
that every day is sunshine and roses,
because that would be a lie...
in fact, one of my dearest friends,
is going through
a really rough spot right now-

i am worried and am praying
for her and her family daily...
i hope and pray more than anything
that she will be confident in
the knowledge...
that she is loved!

and this i know,
we are not guaranteed
all sunshine and no rain-
but, i also know i am promised
a rainbow at the end of the storm
and so i cling to that!

today, on this thursday
i pray that you my friends
have something/someone
you can be thankful for...

for me, all i need to do
is think of my family
and it makes me smile
and makes me realize
how very blessed i am.

happy thursday friends~

You are absolutely right, 'we are not guaranteed all sunshine and no rain'. Thank you for your words of wisdom, they are truly an inspiration.

Coming by to visit from Katherine's hop!

Cheers,

Thanks for reminding us about that rainbow at the end of the rain. I think we all forget that sometimes! What a great way to spend the day! I know that everyone had a blast!

Hi Melodymae: I Connie at http://hotflashncraftn.blogspot.com/, your new GFC friend. I would love if you stop by and "be my shiny friend", too.
How cool living where you
grew up, I'd give anything.... except I don't want live in WI..
I have a lot to thankful, too. I just forget sometimes. Thanks for reminding me.

There are blessings to every day, we so often just don't see them. It's so easy to think we're entitled to an uncomplicated life...where do we get that idea? Your attitude is lovely and very encouraging. Thank you! I'm offering a homemade gift of my blog this weekend. Come see if you'd like it. :-)
