summer memory makers

as our family prepares
for some big changes in our lives;
(daughter, son in law and grandson
moving to austria at the end of july
for full time missionary work
 and another daughter
contemplating a move out of state, too)

i decided to get out
some paper and pens,
since being inspired
by a painting i pinned
 by
 lisa leonard!

now, lisa used a white canvas
and water colors
and i didn't have any on hand
and wanted to do this today,
so i used some sketch paper
and felt pens ;)

i sat and thought about my summer bucket list;
things i would like to enjoy with the
kids/family before they all move away

it was fun to
come up with things to
do together and
was also fun to make!

now it hangs on the side of my fridge
to inspire & challenge us
to see how many we can
accomplish,
the summer of 2012

boxes will be checked off
as we complete them!

What a great idea! I need to make one of those too, since we have a move to a new house 3000 miles away planned. It is hard to think of anything else and this may get me focused on some fun. Any ideas for making a cross country trip fun AND cheap? Nice to see you again...I have been a linky follower but now I follow on GFC and Twitter too, so maybe I can see you more often. Have a great week, Lori

Love it!

Since we have no money for out-of-town trips ... nor money to pay for gas ... I think I'll make a list like this for all of the things we can do / places we can go in Whatcom County (or just across the border).

It will help us "get up and get going" instead of sitting around thinking, "What should we do today?"

Thanks for sharing.

What a great idea, Melody.
I think I am gonna make a list for me. It seems like nothing gets accomplished around here unless it makes it onto a list. I love lists!

Fantastic idea!! I'm going to start my list, maybe then I can get some of my dreams fulfilled!

You must be so proud of your daughter and her family! Just think, you can start a bucket list for next year and add a trip to Austria!
Blessings,
Shawn

That's a good list. I was just thinking about making a pallet in the garden and doing that while the moon is not so bright.

A definite summer list worth completing. Sounds like it will all be fun.
