the rain may come~

today it rains-
it rains &
the wind blows
so fiercely that
hair flies haphazardly
and wild.
faces are wet
with rain.

i run for cover
seeking shelter.

i sit in front of a
warm fire-
soothing aching bones
melting away
stresses from the day.

rain
you can come-
i am safe,
i am warm
i am here.

I love the sentiment put into this poem. Lovely, Girl! We had gentle rain this morning but it ended early. They're saying it will come again tonight. It makes for a beautiful Spring.

Nice poem, though in UK we could do with the rain at the moment!
