a free day=joy oh joy!

so the plans to sit in the recliner with the sweats on
changed when my daughter who attends the university
40 minutes away,
forgot her lesson plan in the printer at home.
she called me and asked if i could meet her half way
which of course i did, cuz i am awesome like that. (giggle)

so since i was going to go out
in public i decided to shower and get dressed!
(what a concept, i know, i know)

so after meeting her i had a free day...
what to do...no plans, no commitments...yowza!

first stop was trader joe's,
it is at the end of town i do not go to
unless heading to trader joe's! LOL
i love wandering around by myself taking
in all the unique things they have

next was the consignment shop
where i consign my clothes...
and found that i had over $60.00 credit
well what was a good little thrifter to do but shop!!!

i found a wool plaid coat (which i might or might not 'gift' to my daughter...)
and also a cobalt blue coat
both for $10 a piece,
leaving a good chunk of credit left...
can we say over $40.00?

then i wound up heading towards the
bookstore for a coffee
and decided to swing into a
thrift store i never ever go to...
i frequent two of the thrift stores in town
but, never this one...i mean never...
and yet, i wound up going in,

wow, i scored huge!!

sweet brown oxfords-(these have a little heel and my other two do not!) hehe 2.99
dark purple button up from express 2.99 half off...1.50
adorable beige polka dot skirt (yes, i have said before how much i love me some polka dots!!!)
the skirt was marked 2.49 half off...so 1.25
and then for my husband, son in law, daughter and mother in law who play cards out our house, i found a card shuffler for .99 half off .50!!!
i walked out with
a skirt, shoes and top (whole outfit) plus the card shuffler for $6.25!??

i was floating as i left the store,
and decided to go treat myself to a non-fat latte and a chocolate biscotti! :)
magazines, books, coffee and a chocolate cookie!? oh yes, please!

then it was home for netflix & snacks to complete
a wonderful day!

i am still thinking of going to the craft show
although today is the last day...

i so hope you have had a wonderful weekend
and that you have the  chance to shine!

be blessed-

Wow, that was a good day, I never find stuff at places like that keep reminding myself I could have a sale of my own with all the 'stuff' in my closet.

Sounds like you had a wonderful day - you did a good deed and then good deeds happened to you!

Thrift stores are magnetic for me; I am attracted to all of them, but you seem to have found far better treasures than I did yesterday. It's fun, isn't it?

What a wonderful day! Sometimes those are meant to make up for the not-so-wonderful ones!
