a weekend made of memories-

what a beautiful wedding
we attended saturday!
it was held at a local vineyard

the bride was stunning,
the parents are my hubs' cousins!
so, other than my own two married daughters
this might have been one of the
prettiest brides i have seen-

i watched with tears of joy
as she and her dad
danced the father-daughter dance...
they jitter-bugged and it was a
beautiful & touching sight-
i took this of my nephew,  my youngest daughter and my sister-in-law at the wedding

my daughter took
pictures of me in the outfit
i wore for the wedding-
the headband i bought
from lap of luxury, the tank is from old navy,
the sweater is from H&M, the skirt (this is a plum one... i also bought a grey one) i thrifted for 4.99, my bag is also thrifted for 3.99 :)

if I had a dollar for every time i had to
explain the 'boot' on my leg at the wedding,
well i would be pretty rich!

today is my oldest daughter's birthday
she is 30...and i wonder how in the world
that happened? how can my first born
be 30? Yikes.

so the kids all came over on sunday
for pizza and ice-cream cake
to celebrate traci's birthday
i also cut her little guys
hair for the first time! ;)
gramps took both grandsons out on the farm
after the haircut :)

a brand new haircut. i had a hard time cutting the gorgeous curls
but i know they will grow back!

what a fun packed few days-

life is good!
i hope you too,
had a wonderful weekend

be blessed, let's shine!

Melody-Mae
thank you so much for sharing this with us :) I love reading your blogs.
Let me guess (you must have broken an ankle? to have "THE BOOT"?) I know that when you have to explain I wore one for 18 weeks 3 summers ago

Blessings

What a lovely post. Like your outfit. I get most of my clothing from thrift stores, too. My Tracey turned 41, and I can't imagine how that happened either.

Love your outfit with the hairband! Weddings are just wonderful, aren't they?! Such happy occasions. My youngest daughter got married in June, and it was such a wonderful day. My eldest daughter was 40 this year. Now that IS frightening!! Hee Hee! Love the retrolooking photo of your daughter.

Oh, weddings are simply the best!

As for time flying and celebrating birthdays you question in their speed of arriving, I just don't know how it happens.

Happy seeing beautiful though.

What a fun wedding that must have been. We were just at a vineyard and winery last week. First haircuts... so hard to do. I am enjoying browsing through your posts.
