happy

ever since happiness heard your name, it has been running through the streets trying to find you.
- Hafiz of Persia

today my wish for you
is that you would look in every
nook & cranny,
behind doors and under the furniture
every possible place you can think
to look-

seek out that happiness
that so wants to find you!

it is there, waiting
even in the smallest of wonders
it is there-

a bird chirps & sings this monday morning

a ray of sunshine finds its way through my
window and rests on my couch

a get well balloon, floats around the house

sweet smelling flowers share their scent
with the aroma of my morning coffee

soft wind ruffles my hair
as i sit on the back deck

feelings of love
after a sunday spent with family

it is all so good,
if you take a moment
to sit and be happy in it!

my hope and prayer
this monday,
is that you take the time
to notice the small things
in your every day life
and be happy in it!

Beautiful post about happiness to start the week off for all of us, so thank you for that. Do hope that your ankle is healing. You certainly have a lovely way with words my friend.

this is so gorgeous put a smile on my face right away :)

I also say "smile first thing in the morning and hope that a reason for it follows." lol

How is your ankle, Melody?

This post brought tears to my eyes- just because the mention of "happiness" stole some of my pent up anxiety away.

With all my heart,
I thank you!

Thank you for this. I have actually been fighting the feeling that I am always putting myself on the back burner for the good of those around me. I needed this.

What a great, positive post. It's nice to take joy in the little things.

I like to pay a little attention to a red flower that grows in the gutter when I go on my morning walk. I like it when the dish soap makes little bubbles. Small things make me happy.
