a thrifty day

yesterday i had a checkup with my surgeon-
he seemed happy with the way the
wound is healing. :)

the cast came off
and a walking boot put on-
i still have to use crutches
because to put weight on, hurts

i will be starting physical therapy
as soon as the stitches are removed,
it is going to be a long recovery

so after the dr. appt
my lovely youngest daughter
who is home now from college...
(talk about a godsend!)
she has been cooking and cleaning for me-

so anyway, she took me to
lunch and to the thrift store!
sweetness!
she scored some amazing things
4 pairs of jeans, a top and a dress-

i scored a darling sundress along
with THIRTEEN dr. seuss books!
yes, i said thirteen, at .79 a piece-
i couldn't pass them up:)
at B&N they are roughly 7.99
so what a great deal!

oh my, books just make me smile:)

thrifting makes me smile.

my daughter knew just what i needed
to make this day awesome...

i love thrifting and especially with her
we always have such a great time!

and you, what makes you smile?
i hope you have things that
make you smile today!

Glad you got that hot boot off. I'm sure it feels better but you'll have to be careful not to bump it. Ouch!

Spending some time out with your dd was a win/win for both of you.
I had a "smiley" kind of day too.
Yeay for all of us!!

Glad to know you're getting better, Melody! Your daughter is so sweet, she must be a real gem. :-)

And if my favorite books would be that cheap, I'd be that compulsive too! ;-)

God bless for a speedy recovery! :-)
