first there was the FUN we went through with blogger...
oh yeah, that was a lot of fun!
then my laptop starting telling me i had no space left-
i tried to free up space and had a hard time
finally i wound up putting all my photos onto a jump drive
i then hit the dreaded delete button
and deleted all my saved photos!
this of course was after checking and rechecking
that the jump drive had all my photos on it! :)
so now let us hope this will free up some space for a while
and the computer won't act like it is going to crash anymore on me!
a few days ago my hubs came in from the barn
and told me to come with him, he had something to show me...
we hopped on the RTV and he brought me to these two spots;
a robin's nest with three beautiful blue eggs:)
(as seen through a fence)
and a killdeer nest-
(you need to look in the center of the photo, there are four speckled eggs)
the killdeer always lays the eggs on the ground... in gravel, dirt or in our case in some wood chips.
if you know anything about these birds... as 'prey' approaches
she proceeds to lead you away by pretending to have a broken wing and squawking!!!
pretty cool!
today my college daughter came home to visit and we began the long process of cleaning my
storage/craft room out and making it her bedroom again.
she will be moving home before her mission trip and then will live here next year
as she does her student teaching for her last year...before graduating with a dual major; special education and elementary education. :)
tomorrow after church i head to seattle with the middle daughter
can you say...RETAIL THERAPY?
i am in need of some girl time...lunch and shopping will do the trick! :)
i hope you have had a wonderful weekend,
that you can smile and say...life is good!
be well my friends-smile and yes, you know i am going to say it...shine your light!

Great photos! The peapod and I found a robin's egg remains during our walk the other day. Enjoy your time with your daughter!!
We are heading south after church tomorrow, too.
If you see the BIG Red Van with "The Big D.Family" and 12 stick figures on the back window ... honk and wave.
Hope your "retail therapy" is enjoyable.
We are heading to Puyallup to visit our sweet 92 year old grampa.
May your Sunday be BLESSED!
Laurel :)
Beautiful blog! I love the photo of those little eggs.
Thanks for linking up with Super Stalker Sunday hop. There are so many wonderful blogs participating, I hope you've found a few that you enjoy. Be sure to join us again next week!
Best,

Great pictures, have a "shopping" day!!
Thanks for visiting my blog. :) I hope you have a wonderful time with your daughter. Mine is going to be in college before I know it. I'm your newest "follower". :)

Love the photos! Those Robin eggs are so pretty.
Lucky you getting to have your daughter home! And having some retail therapy? Hmmm...I might have to do that with DoodleBug later today!
Retail therapy is good, I don't do that much anymore now since my job ended. It is ok if I look around there is nothing that is needed and if there is the goal and motto is to shop in my closet. I have amazed myself by digging in places that have not been looked at for months. Treasures to be found and enjoyed. Have fun.
I love the beauty of a birds nest!!
The nests are amazing! So neat.
Have fun on your trip. I know you're going to have an AMAZING time :D
retail therapy. love that. I need some, too! Wish you lived close! :)
Don't you hate it when you delete all your saved photos? I did that back in March and it sucked so bad :( What gorgeous photos you posted though - you have such a great eye with the camera!
Thanks for your positivity melody-mae I needed it today!!!
I've never heard of a killdeer before--what an interesting bird!
My mom is coming to visit on Wednesday and I'm hoping we can indulge in some retail therapy ourselves :)
Those nests are SO cool. I have never heard of or seen a killdeer. Gonna have to look it up. Thanks for sharing!
The photos take up SO much space, don't they?! They were the downfall of my last computer too. And cool info about those birds. Wouldn't be way easier though if they just used like a tree or something?!
robin eggs are so brilliantly beautiful * hope ur having a splendid time with ur gal ;)
I can't wait to show my 6 year old your killdeer photo. I was reading to her a book called Peachtree Island and in it they described exactly what you just did about them.
She will love it!
