oh, hello tuesday!

hello my lovelies,
i am hoping you had a wonderful weekend,
relaxing and doing all that makes you happy!
we had a pretty mellow one ourselves...
something that makes me just sigh, ya know...
it was just that relaxing!

i woke today to a sweet bit o' sunshine
streaming through the curtain,
thoughts turning to the grandson visiting
his granny and gramps today...which makes
for a great day in my book!
he just makes me smile and life seems just that much
sweeter when he is here :)

as i drove through our town to meet his daddy
at our 'half-way' mark and pick up the boy
i noticed flags still flying from yesterday's holiday
such a beautiful sight to see-
and a bittersweet reminder of my dad
who served in the korean war.
when he passed away from cancer 20+ years ago
he was given full military honors-
yesterday when i heard on the t.v. the
bugle playing 'taps'...
well, i had to stop for a minute and remember.

dad you are gone, but never.ever.forgotten.

weeks ago, when my computer went down
i got notice from my sweet bloggie friend
that i had received an award from her...
i was so honored but, couldn't post about it
because i was using the hubs i-pad and didn't
really know how to use it...i was stumbling along...
so now that things seem to be working on my computer AND blogger...

thank you for this lovely award!
i plan to pay it forward asap!
the rules state 5 people to pass it on to! :)

for now i leave you with a full & content heart

may you be blessed this week
and know deep in your heart
that above all else
YOU are loved!

hugs,
melody

Lovely post- as always! Love hearing you discuss the grands! The three of our lovelies who aren't married said they are getting tired of Breezy and BestSonInLawEVER taking so long to have babies! LOL

My dear sweet Melody Mae...Congrats on your lovely award! I'm so excited for you! Glad to see you back in business, you have been missed! You redecorated a bit too or is it just my eyes playing tricks on me? Love ya!

Nice 'shiny' post today, Melody-mae. It's always lovely to see all the flags flying - we should never forget all those who paid the ultimate sacrifice. Hope you had a lovely day with your gorgeous little boy!!
