on this day

there are things to be so thankful for and things that are in need of prayers.

today I am thankful that my husband is resting and recovering at our home!! yes, home sweet home!
gotta be so happy and thankful for this. his surgery and recovery seems to be going really well. my only problem now is keeping him from overdoing it!! (men!)

today is my birthday, so I am VERY thankful to God for all he has given to me...a loving husband, children and grandchildren. life is such a blessing and I am thankful each and every day!
I keep thinking of the song by the Beatles:

Today is your birthday.

You say it's your birthday
well it's my birthday too, yeah
they say it's your birthday
were gonna have a good time
I'm glad it's your birthday
Happy Birthday to you!

I also just read my about my friend's grandson, Cash. It is at the end...they are all surrounding the family as they await for little Cash to be lifted up into our Father's hands...I am heartbroken for this family. I look at my grandsons, Jack and Lane and it hurts me to think of the family of Cash. May God draw near them and hold them and surround them with His love.

tonight for my birthday since we cannot really get out and about yet with my hubbie, I told him I would run and get take-out chinese food, make some popcorn and watch a few movies from Netflix. A perfect evening in my book! Just the two of us... I am so looking forward to a nice evening at home! It truly is the little things in life that make life so good!

May you have an awesome friday! go. hug. your loved ones! One thing I know for sure: I am truly thankful for today!

My heart hurts for Cash's family. I will be praying for peace and comfort for all of them.

As for sweet Cash...my heart breaks for them. I pray God will give them the comfort and peace that only HE can give.

I'm terribly sorry about your friend's grandson. It is unfathomable.
