seattle on a sunday!

my daughters and i
woke nice an early on
sunday morning...
i picked each one of them up
at their homes and off we went

at least one or more of us have walked
the 5k puget sound race for the cure
since 1998!

this was the third year
to be held over by seattle center
which is always fun for us
because after the 5k walk
we get on the monorail
and head downtown to
shop & do lunch.

this year we rode the monorail
to downtown and then walked
down to pike street market,
went through the market
down the long steep steps (100+)
to the waterfront
had lunch and laughed and had a great time
then walked back up those steps
so we could go into the open market,
buy some gorgeous flowers
and shop a bit before heading back home.

after getting up at 4:30 a.m.
driving the 2 hours to seattle
walking the 5k and then shopping
and taking those steep stairs to the waterfront
then driving back the 2 hours home
i slept GREAT! ;)

it was such a wonderful day

i love spending time with my girls in this way

i love that they walk along side me and that they
support me in finding a cure for cancer! :)

it was a perfect day for the walk.

me with three of the most important women
in my life!
(all the survivors wear pink t-shirts)

my daughter acting silly :)

i love this fountain~

in the background are
 some of the tents
that offer food, water
and lots of fun freebies!!

one of my favorite
give-aways was this
bookmark;

every day is a gift.
open it with joy.

 monorail

i never get tired of the space needle!

pike street market
always lots of fun

so many amazing colors and smells
it is almost overwhelming
i brought home a huge bouquet
for ten dollars! :)

life is beautiful
          &
i am thankful
