sunshine

yesterday i awoke to snow-
the roads, the cars...
everywhere you looked,
snow-

i got ready and went
to the service/funeral for
my friend.

as i sat there in the
VERY packed church-
with hardly room to breath,
sunshine started to peek through
the stained glass windows.

filling me with warmth and
of hope!

it was a beautiful tribute
and God decided to conclude
the service with sunshine...
then we had sunshine
the rest of the day!  :)

i plan to meet
a friend first for coffee-
then my daughter after
she gets off work to do
a bit of shopping & dinner.

today is lovely.
it is a gift.
may we use each
and every minute
of today,
to think on the
good things in life.

and be thankful.

i plan to shine today
how about you?

I'm so glad the sunshine came out for your friend! Yes, we really must appreciate each and every day, and realize how blessed we are. I shall aim to stay shiny my friend.

Melody ... I would say your friend was sending everyone a beautiful smile ... letting you know she remains with you all; and that she is no longer in pain. Each day is truly a gift and there is no greater reminder of this than when a loved one's journey on earth has come to an end. Wishing you peace, love and blessings, xo C. (HHL)
