twelve

thankful day twelve;

today i am thankful for

spontaneous get aways with the husband!

we woke up yesterday

and decided to get a hotel

in the nearby city of lynnwood-

it is north of seattle and about 

an hour & half away from home...

it is a place we stay quite frequently

when we want to decompress

and just enjoy some time together.

but, first off i went to the local thrift store

with a friend...it was 50% off day (veteran's day sale)

we had a great time and 

both of us found some awesome deals!

we went straight to the shoes

and i found a fantastic pair of 'beat up'

leather ankle boots that i just ADORE...

i kept saying, how much i loved them! hehe

while we were in the shoes...

over the intercom came a reminder that it was: 

11/11/11 and the time was 11:11

i will always remember where i was that day...

in the shoe dept. finding my awesome boots!!! :) :)

after my little shopping/lunch date with the gal-pal

i picked up the hubbie and we headed for 

our little get away.

this particular hotel has happy hour 

in the evening-with snacks and drinks

and a free made to order breakfast in the morning~

we went to a movie last night

complete with tons of buttered popcorn and skittles ;)

today we are going to drive around,

go to the bookstore, mall and take

a drive on old highway 99

i just LOVE little get aways!

i hope your saturday is just lovely-

that you have time with those you love

and that you can rest in the moment...

life is too short not to enjoy the ride!
