monday thoughts

i didn't keep track of where i found this. :(

our message yesterday at church
was just amazing;

i take notes each week
of our sermons...
and then am in charge
of updating
the church facebook page-

yesterday's sermon was on luke 6
about judging others-

there were many things
i took from the sermon
but, what stuck with me the most;

~~~~
the seed & the fruit will
always match.
if we plant judgement
we will get judgement!
the measure for us
should be how much
are we like Jesus?
do we love like him?
~~~~

my prayer & goal this week
would be that the people i love
would know it

that the words and actions
i say and do
would show i care-

may i remember
that if i sow ugliness,
nagging and snarkiness
then this is what i will reap.
if i can sow love, kindness
and happiness
then this is what i will be
shown.

now if i can just
put this into practice!

just trying to shine
a light in my little world.

This post and the one on Saturday- thank you for sharing them. We may never know how far the light shines, but trying makes it worth the effort.
Thanks!

Powerful saying at the top.

I think I've done a lot of that this past year. While walking through unbelievable TOUGH stuff, the Lord has still used me to minister to many.

Just the other day I was chatting with a new friend and she looked at me incredulously when I mentioned something about going through some really tough stuff lately. We see each other a couple of times per week, for several hours each time, as our kids are in a homeschool group together. I was really glad that she hasn't seen the mud puddle I've sat in so much this year. I was glad that she was shocked to hear I've "had a bad year" (to put it mildly). It felt really good to know that others don't see the broken heart that I am walking around with day after day after day.

Great sermon notes, too ...

Hope your week has been BLESSED! I am taking off on a Road Trip to San Diego ... All. By. My. Self. Woo Hoo!!!

Hi MelodyMae,
This is such a great reminder. I think it is a great goal to daily strive to be like the Savior. Even our feeble, fumbling efforts make such a difference in other people's lives.

Thank you so much for this post. I am getting ready to challenge myself in November. A great time to be thankful and to remember what is most important. So instead of being negative or mean, I am focusing on the positive in each and everything. Please pray this comes easy and that I learn a thing or two.

Thank you. This message came on a day I needed to be reminded of exactly like this.
