good morning, monday

good morning, monday~

we celebrated my husband's birthday yesterday
 (his actual b-day was thursday)
we took the kids/family all out to eat
and then they all wound up here at the house
to play cards and eat dairy queen ice-cream cake!
it was a perfect day~

today i am going to the orthopedic doctor
to be fitted for a wedge,
which i will be wearing in my boot

my daughter and i are going to
stop at the thrift store,
then picking up the 2 year old grandson
who will be staying here for a few days
while his mommy & daddy go to oklahoma

so on this monday morning
as i sit here with my coffee
contemplating the day that
lies ahead of me-
i am truly grateful
for it all!

may you too, find yourself
happy and blessed-
my prayer is that you look up towards the sun
let the shadows fall behind you-
may you be reassured that
there is always a rainbow
at the end,
that no matter what the storm
there is a rainbow
waiting for you,
full of colors
that shine and light your way
to a better day!

Are you still on crutches?

Taking care of a 2 year old for a couple of days, while you are laid up with your leg, should be a challenge.

Hope you are doing well.

Thanks for all of your sweet comments on my blog recently.

update; I had a heel made for the boot I have to wear to lift my heel and relieve pressure on the achilles. I will wear this in the boot and not sure how long? Tomorrow I will go get the stitches out and will let you know from there what the plan is, I believe I will begin a long road of physical therapy? thanks for the love and care you all show me, I truly appreciate it!

I love those words, Melody, thank you! I need that! I like the part about looking towards the sun with the shadow behind me. Many times our backs are often facing the sun and looking miserably at our own shadows. I am thankful to God and I have to constantly remind myself to think lovely things.
