weekend fun

this monday morning
oh how i am counting
my many blessings!

my husband's side of the family
had a huge reunion
and there was a local parade to
fit into the pile!
i watched my two year old grandson
(mommy is still in africa)
so we had a great weekend
although hectic and busy...
a nap might be needed today! :)

the reunion was held on a lake
so there was paddle boats, sand castles
and all around fun to be had.

my hubbie and son-in-law participated
in the games/races
and it was fun to reconnect with family
we only see every three years!
in fact, at the last reunion
my husband and i had NO grands
and now we have two little loves!
a lot can change in 3 short years. :)

my hubbie and son-in-law...three legged race. oh yeah, they won!

gramps and the boy. walking to the beach. :)
son-in-law, grandson and hubbie
this is my daughter's little family (one of the girls in africa)
he came to his wife's family reunion without her...gotta love that guy!

my first born daughter, her nephew/my grandson (on lap) and her son who decided he wanted to be on her lap too!:)

little grandson.
he LOVED the sand! :)

there was much fun to be had
and many pictures taken and memories made...

it was a lovely and blessed weekend!
i hope you were blessed with love & laughter
and can count your many blessings today too!

hugs,

Hi melody-mae! I know that I've said this before, but your posts always leave me with a lovely warm feeling! Such gorgeous family photos today to share with us. As you say, how things can change in three years. In three years, we also had two new little grandchildren. I am really shining today my friend!

I understand the need for a nap, I am recovering too we had our three grand daughters from Friday to Sunday, and even though they are ages 12 and 7 it is still tiring (twins are 7). I felt like a complete grouch, the little ones just test and test and I wanted to just thump them. We did go to the beach and that was very fun although I got burned very bad.
Today I feel I need alot of 'recovery time'.

I love family reunions! Catching up with everyone and enjoying their company. Hearing old stories is great too. What a trooper your son-in-law is to have gone without his wife!
