The wind tries and tries
to break through our windows
beating and beating all night long
whistling, banging ...intent on getting in
the warm house

although the surrounding
community has received some

Thankful, yes thankful
for a warm place to
snuggle up and listen
to the wind and wait
for the snow

That just makes me want to give a big 'ol sigh and curl up with a blanket, my family and a good book.
If we are safe at home and the frig is full, I don't mind a snow storm at all...I agree it does give you that cozy feeling!
