My favorite part?

time, memories & experiences
mold and shape us
just like the sea-waves crashing against a rock
slowly, shaping that rock, smoothing the rough spots...
the good & the bad times
help to form us into who we are here and now

I love the imagery here. It's so true. Our lives are almost like a river rock, constantly changing with the ebb and flow of our day to day.

The idea that you might be able to lock time away so that it doesn't pass so quickly is one that we all wish for I think. And every year that passes time seems to get faster and faster. Strange.

Lovely poem! I remember when I gave birth to my son, everyone said told me it goes by so quickly. I remember how small he was when I rocked him to sleep and how chubby his cheeks were. Everyone wanted to kiss him. Now he's 5 years old and I look at him every day and ask, where did that time go?Tina Martin Publicationshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16960495178266227020noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-162012097646496082.post-12730711216612430022011-02-28T19:40:55.686-08:002011-02-28T19:40:55.686-08:00Love this post!! I know there is a verse in the Old Testament somewhere that says God stores our tears in a bottle... maybe when we get to heaven we will find all our best moments in bottles too. Oh, wait, those memories are already in my heart. love you girlfriend!songbyrdonthemountainhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15972167645190643502noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-162012097646496082.post-70754586659259217972011-02-28T12:25:34.280-08:002011-02-28T12:25:34.280-08:00Carrie @ comfortedbyGod.blogspot.com

I made a comment to our pediatrician once about at least one of the girls getting into bed with us every single night. He said, "Enjoy it because one day, you won't hear those little feet paddling across the floor to jump in bed with you because they'll outgrow it." Was he ever right! They sure did and I often strain at night to see if I can hear that little pit-pat pit-pat...sigh.Empty Nesterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14060983954463697344noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-162012097646496082.post-66883345273823000782011-02-26T14:27:32.651-08:002011-02-26T14:27:32.651-08:00I wish I could do this with every moment...at leas...I wish I could do this with every moment...at least looking back. See...Time...the never ending vicious race in life. Seems like we are always acing against it, getting as many life goals accomplished, in as little time as possible. And when you look back at time, it laughs at you... Where did that time go? Memories made with time are the most valuable, instead of against it. The memories made with the ones we love are the most precious. Melody-mae, If you find that bottle somewhere, I want one....it would be priceless to me as well. I'm still young, my children are young, not allowing time to pass too fast is my problem. Sure wish I had a bottle.Monicahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17127921195707919892noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-162012097646496082.post-85960938222544515652011-02-26T13:59:24.729-08:002011-02-26T13:59:24.729-08:00Time passes so quickly. If I had one wish it would be that I did not have to work and could have helped with their daycare. I was able to help out with two of them, on my day off, for about a year but I would have liked to be more available to help with all of them.Shawnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11410609940311482746noreply@blogger.com
